The Indian Plumbing Conference (IPC) is the national conference of the Indian plumbing fraternity, organized by the Indian Plumbing Association in various cities across the country. This mega event returns to Kolkata after 9 years, following its resounding success in Hyderabad in 2024. IPC features seminars, exhibitions, and technical symposiums to educate and share knowledge on the latest products, installations, and technologies for the benefit of the building fraternity and the general public.
Since its inception in 2003, IPC has successfully organized 30 such conferences. It provides a common platform for building industry professionals and plumbing product manufacturers. Sustainable Smart Water Management is the theme for the 31st Indian Plumbing Conference. It is an urgent and transformative theme for India’s plumbing and water sector. With India accounting for 18% of the global population but only 4% of the world’s freshwater resources, efficient water management is no longer optional — it’s critical. Integrating smart technologies such as IoT-enabled sensors, AI-driven leak detection, automated valve systems, and water-efficient plumbing can drastically reduce non-revenue water, which currently exceeds 40% in many Indian urban areas.
